Admission to Direct Second Year of Four year degree course of Bachelor of engineering
Admissions through CAP:
Eligibility Criteria:Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 50.00 % marks (45.00 % marks in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level. OR The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC / Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 50.00% marks (45.00 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level.

Admission Proedure :
The admission to this course is entirely on merit basis. Candidates having valid GATE score are given preference for admission. 05 seats are reserved for sponsored candidates as per the norms. If any seats are available after offering admissions to GATE students, these are offered to NON GATE / NON Sponsored candidates. For Non-GATE students the selection process consists of a written test followed by an interview.
The syllabus for this test is the same as that for the GATE 2011 examination.
Social welfare department of Govt. of Maharashtra awards Scholarships to students from backward community. Presently fee waiver for Scheduled castes and Tribes is 100% and Other Backward class gets 50%. These scholarships are made available to the students. Other scholarships from University and NGO’s are made available. Special students from the depriving class have been benefited with the Scholarship conferred by the Institute at local level.
